Welcome to our practice
Sometimes everyday life becomes difficult. Feelings can become overwhelming, school or family life can feel stressful, and questions arise that have no immediate answers.
We take time to understand together what is difficult at the moment and what support would be helpful. We look at challenges, as well as abilities, interests and what is already going well.
How to get started with us ↗We listen and treat children, adolescents and their families with openness and respect.
We explain our assessment clearly and discuss the next steps together.
We develop suitable strategies and involve important people in the child’s or adolescent’s life when needed.

What helps varies from person to person. We tailor treatment to age, concerns and individual circumstances.
Together, we set goals and try out practical steps that may help. Working with parents and other important people in the child’s life can support treatment.
More about our therapeutic work ↗Individual therapy offers space to explore what matters to you. We look at the links between thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and work together on strategies that can help in everyday life.
We offer EMDR as part of our therapeutic work. Before using it, we discuss the procedure and check whether this method is suited to your individual situation and treatment goal.
Our groups focus on areas such as social skills, managing strong feelings and practical coping skills. Participants try out new ways of responding together and share their experiences.
We discuss with you which group suits your child’s age and needs, and when they may be able to join.
Assessment
If you have questions about development, behaviour or learning, an assessment can help you understand what is happening. We consider difficulties alongside strengths and the child’s everyday environment.
We explain the findings clearly and discuss the next steps together.
Assessment of concentration and attention difficulties, as well as developmental and academic problems.
If there are indications of an autism spectrum disorder, we offer a targeted diagnostic assessment. During this process, we discuss questions relating to development and everyday life together with the child or young person and their carers.

For children, young people & parents
As a parent, you don’t need to know exactly what support your child needs before contacting us. And if you’re coming for yourself, you don’t need to have found the words for everything that’s on your mind.

Please submit appointment requests through our online booking page. For administrative questions, you can also call us on 040 226 019 64. At the initial consultation, we discuss your concerns and possible next steps. We will discuss whether and when we can offer treatment based on your individual situation.
We start by getting to know each other. We want to understand what is difficult in everyday life, what already helps, and what questions you and your child have. Together, we discuss whether further appointments, an assessment or treatment would be helpful.
You can come with questions, doubts, or just a feeling that things are difficult right now. When we meet, we’ll explain how we work. You can tell us what matters to you and what you don’t want to talk about yet.
A medical referral is generally not required. You can contact us directly to make an enquiry.
Depending on the child’s age, concerns and needs, meetings with parents or carers may form part of treatment. We discuss how we will work together and answer any questions about confidentiality.
This depends on your individual situation and the goals we agree together. After the first few appointments, we can usually give a clearer idea of how much support may be helpful.
Costs & insurance
Here you will find information about statutory health insurance, private health insurance and self-funded care.
Your statutory health insurance covers the cost of psychotherapy and psychological assessments at our practice.
We also treat people with private health insurance and those eligible for Beihilfe, the German civil service healthcare benefits scheme. Reimbursement depends on the insurance policy, applicable rules and individual requirements. You may need to pay part of the costs yourself.
You can also pay for treatment yourself. We discuss the expected costs and how treatment will proceed with you before it begins.
